ActionAid empowers communities to challenge gender-based violence

After a three-year UK Aid Match project in Kenya, ActionAid has reported that 91% of women and girls said that cases of violence were more effectively responded to in the community.

Working across three counties, ActionAid carried out education and training for girls to increase their awareness of violence and how to report it, created safe spaces for girls in schools and met with key community stakeholders to plan for the provision of more effective anti-gender-based-violence services.
