40,000 jobs created in Ghana and DRC

Opportunity International estimates that its UK Aid Match project has created an additional 40,000 jobs in Ghana and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The ‘Roots of Change’ project, which finished in September, set out to provide 12,000 marginalised rural women with access to savings, loans and financial literacy training. However, these targets were exceeded significantly.
