Due diligence

A provisional award of UK Aid Match funding can only be confirmed once the necessary due diligence checks have been carried out satisfactorily.

If the Department of International Development (DFID) has never conducted a due diligence check for your organisation or has not done one in the last three years a full due diligence review will be needed.

If DFID has assessed your organisation within the last three years an additional review may be needed to assess your capacity to deliver this specific project.

You will have to address any issues that arise during this review. Depending on how important they are, you might have to do so before the grant starts, or you may be able to deal with them during the first months of the project.

Serious issues may mean that UK Aid Match funding is withdrawn.

Please read the due diligence section of the Developing your project proposal and application guidance document for more information.
